The Cylons have been routed for the time being.

7349

The journey continues, as the Galactica and the ragtag fleet continue their search for Earth.

Starbuck has a long dream where he imagines that his is stranded on a planet with a Cylon, and that in the meantime the Galactica journeys for thirty years until it finds Earth. His dream continues: the Galacticans discover that Earth's technology is very backward and they try various means to advance it, including time travel, contacting Earth's scientists and introducing some the Fleet's children to the Earth population as Super Scouts.

(The above segment is from a series of interviews in which Glen A. Larson has proposed that the entire run of Galactica 1980 could be explained as a dream that Starbuck had.)

Starbuck awakens, confused, trying to determine if his dream was an omen that the Galactica would soon find Earth.

circa 7370

(22 years after the original series)

Battlestar Galactica: The Movie

The Battlestar Pegasus discovers Earth.

Cain, convinced that the Battlestar Atlantis once visited Earth in the distant past, begins a search for evidence of the ancient spaceship.

(It seems likely that the Earth Cain encounters in this storyline is the contemporary one, that is,Earth in the year 2000.)
