The timeline below chronicles the events
depicted in the series Battlestar Galactica, and includes events
depicted in a series of comics published by Maximum Press in the late 1990s.
It does not include the sequel series Galactica 1980, which many fans, and Glen A. Larson himself, do not recognize as part of "official" continuity. Nor does this timeline include events depicted in any of the novels, or in any of the Marvel or Realm Press comics.
Although Richard Hatch did work with Maximum Press at one point, subsequent revisions to his concepts before publishing make it difficult to reconcile events in this timeline with ones depicted in either Richard Hatch's novels or from his Galactica trailer continuity.
The timeline is given in yahrens, from the timeline Maximum Press utilized. This timeline was published in the first issue of the Starbuck series, and many dates below are taken directly from it.
Note: It is unclear to me when exactly the Asylum stories "Rebirth of Cy" and "First Date" should necessarily be placed. However, "Adama's War" from Asylum issue #1-3 occur around 7240 according to the Maximum Press timeline.

___________
What happens next?
The Maximum Press line of comics ceased without the central storyline being resolved. That is, the search that the now Earth-based Colonials are conducting for their ancient Thirteenth colony brothers, who left Earth to avoid leading Count Iblis there, continues.
However, the rest, in a sense, is history. Adam and Eve do become the progenitors of a new human society based on Earth. A series of great civilizations are founded on Earth including the Egyptians, the Toltecs and the Mayans, as well as the lost continents of Lemuria and Atlantis.
Baltar, the Cylons, and Iblis have been turned away.
Whether the lost members of the Thirteenth tribe do eventually return to Earth remains unresolved, but given the story arc, it is likely they do.
