Magnum P.I.
In the classic 1980's adventure series Magnum P.I., Tom Selleck, as the title character, spent a lot of time hanging around the estate of Robin Masters, and in particular at the guest house which served as his home.
When I was in Hawaii in March 2007, I was able to go and visit the home that served as the estate in the series, and I've included some of the pictures below.
The property was undergoing renovations when I visited, and I was only able to take pictures through the fence, but here we go.
This is Magnum's guest house from the series..
And here's a second shot of that same building..
In the series, Robin's estate was guarded by two Dobermans - named Zeus and Apollo. When I went to visit, I found the property was indeed patrolled by dogs - only these days the guards are two big Labradors..
Through the leaves is the main building..
And the tennis courts that featured from time to time..
Here's the gate to the property from the beach and into the 'estate.' This was on display a few times in the series, such as when Magnum tested the estate security early on.
And looking out from the fenced gate, out to the ocean, you see the tidal pool which was featured in the series many times.
